How long have you been drawing? What did you start with? Do you do things other than drawing ponies? What advice would you give to someone new to art?

Well, I've been drawing MLP for like…2 years now. 2,5 maybe.
I've been doodling all my life though. I always took extra art classes in school. My mainstays used to be starships and guns. I used to just draw like…side pictures of guns. Design new ones or smash up existing ones. I also tried to do storm/clone troopers, nazguls, the submarine from Atlantis, whatever I thought was cool at the time. I don't really have any other hobbies, and at the rate I draw, I wouldn't qualify this either.
